The Fairy Tale Garden covers about 0.25 hectares on the slope of Leśnica in Międzygórze, at an altitude of 700–710 m above sea level. It is surrounded by spruce forest and mountain meadows. The garden was laid out in the 1920s on the initiative of Izydor Kristien, who terraced the hillside and led paths across it.
Wooden sculptures of characters from fairy tales and cartoons line the alleys – Pinocchio, Hansel and Gretel, Puss in Boots, Koziołek Matołek, Gargamel, Bolek and Lolek or Snufkin. The garden also works as a small arboretum, with common and Virginian junipers, yews, Swedish whitebeam and azaleas.
A yellow trail runs from Międzygórze across Polana Śnieżna and takes about 30 minutes. An alternative starts behind the „Sarenka” guesthouse and continues along the red trail. For families there is the Gnome Trail, beginning at the bus terminus in Międzygórze.
