Poprad Valley cycling trail (VeloNatura / EuroVelo 11)

The Beskid section of the VeloNatura route (EuroVelo 11), running through the attractive Poprad Valley amid the Beskid Sądecki mountains. From Muszyna to Nowy Sącz nearly 60 km of the European EuroVelo 11 route runs here.

Overview

  • A distinctive feature is its cross-border character – between Muszyna and Piwniczna-Zdrój the route crosses the Poprad several times via pedestrian and cycling footbridges (Milik, Andrzejówka), running now on the Polish, now on the Slovak side.
  • A route for cyclists of an intermediate level.

Scope

  • The Lesser Poland section of EuroVelo 11 (VeloNatura) – the Beskid part in the Poprad Valley.
  • In Muszyna it crosses the VeloKrynica route.

Seasonality and hours

Best period: spring–autumn. The trail is open.

Getting there

By train and by car to Muszyna, Piwniczna-Zdrój and Nowy Sącz.
