A cowboy town below the Karkonosze

Western City was founded in 1998 in Ścięgny near Karpacz and covers a broad area at the foot of the Karkonosze mountains. Most of its roughly sixty-five hectares are pastures for horses and cattle, while the town buildings — wooden houses, a saloon, stables — recreate the setting of the American West.

What you can do

The programme rests on outdoor activities: archery, throwing knives, spears and lassos, climbing a pole and panning for gold in sand. Riding and stunt shows are staged and country music plays. The heart of the town is the saloon, where team-building events, balls and weddings are held.

The surroundings

From the grounds there is a view of the Karkonosze ridge with Śnieżka, and the site itself lies a few kilometres from the centre of Karpacz, on the approach road to the resort. It makes a convenient break while touring the region with children.
