The park in Niechorze lies at the foot of the local lighthouse, a few steps from the beach entrance. Opened in 2012, it presents 29 models of lighthouses at 1:10 scale — both active and historic ones, including all those working on the Baltic.
The exhibition features towers from Krynica Morska, Hel, Rozewie, Stilo, Jastarnia and Gdynia Oksywie, as well as the Gdańsk lighthouses of Nowy Port and Port Północny. The models reproduce the shape of the shafts, the galleries and the colours of the originals, so solutions from different eras and stretches of coast are easy to compare.
The grounds are toured with a guide in about 45 minutes, and the commentary sorts out the history of the individual lighthouses. The models are made of materials resistant to salt and wind, so the park operates all year. The paths are flat and convenient for pushchairs, and the real Niechorze lighthouse stands right next door.
