Labirynt Park in Łeba is a sprawling tangle of green corridors covering about five thousand square metres, considered the largest natural maze in the country. The site lies in Łeba itself, on Wspólna Street, a few minutes from the seaside promenade.
The visit is not about simply walking from point A to point B — the aim is to find five bases along the way and only then the exit. This turns the visit into an outdoor game.
Viewing platforms have been set up in the maze, from which you can look down on the layout of the corridors and get your bearings. The route is intended for adults and children alike; for the youngest the site provides special pushchairs that make completing the whole course easier.
Beyond the maze itself a games garden awaits. There you can try your hand at outdoor draughts, giant Jenga, a hamster wheel or boules — the traditional French game of skill.
It is an idea for a relaxed two hours together for a family or a group of friends, especially when the wind at the seaside is too strong for the beach. The competition to find the bases works just as well on children as on adults. Because of the character of the route it is not comfortable for prams.
Łeba is one of the most popular towns on the Polish coast, and its greatest magnet remains the Słowiński National Park with its shifting dunes. The maze often makes a good end to a day after a longer trip to Łącka Góra or to Lake Łebsko.
