Tuchlino 50B, Wieś Tuchlino
Zoo Egzotyczne Kaszuby operates in Tuchlino in the Kartuzy district, within the Kashubian Switzerland region. It is a small educational park where several dozen species from warm climate zones are kept in indoor pavilions, so a visit works out even in rainy weather.
Visitors are shown around by a guide who introduces the residents one by one. Among them are blue and yellow macaws and cockatoos, reticulated pythons ranked among the largest snakes in the world, and more than a dozen species of tarantulas. A separate pen with rabbits and guinea pigs lets children stroke the animals under supervision.
The tour is completed by an aquarium exhibition of about twenty thousand litres, showing the fish and plants of the Kashubian lakes. There is also a 3D cinema room, a restaurant, a soft play jungle gym and a separate zone for children up to the age of five.
