Ostrich farm in Kashubia

Strusia Farma in Kniewo lies north of Wejherowo, on Aleja Lipowa. The farm keeps a herd of more than forty African ostriches — the largest birds in the world, seen up close during a walk around the spacious enclosures. The grounds are fenced and the staff readily explain the birds' habits.

Animals and feeding

Apart from the ostriches there are donkeys, llamas, goats, sheep, hens and ducks. Most of the animals may be fed with special biscuits bought at the on-site shop — usually the biggest draw for children. Walking around the enclosures takes less than an hour, but with a picnic break it is easy to spend half a day here.

Facilities on site

There is a playground, a shelter against sun and rain, and marked picnic areas with a campfire spot. The restaurant serves ostrich meat dishes and scrambled ostrich egg. Kniewo sits on the route towards Puck and Władysławowo, so the farm fits well into a trip to the Bay of Puck.
