Liszna 5, Wieś Cisna
Leśny Zwierzyniec in Liszna lies a few kilometres from Cisna, tucked away in the Bieszczady valleys. It is a small private animal park set in woodland, gathering more than thirty species — from native game to ornamental birds. The number of residents keeps growing.
The enclosures hold red deer, fallow deer, mouflons and wild boar, as well as raccoons, raccoon dogs, coypus, ferrets and ground squirrels. Among the birds are barnacle geese, mallards and crested ducks, pheasants and quails. Information boards describing each species stand by the pens, giving the walk a clear educational value.
Feed can be bought at the entrance and most of the animals may be fed by hand — the main attraction for children. Walking the whole park takes about an hour. Liszna sits on regional road 897, so the park combines easily with a drive along the Great Bieszczady Loop and a visit to the Bieszczady forest railway in Majdan near Cisna.
