Alpakacafe operates in Poczesna near Częstochowa, at the northern end of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. It is a private educational farm combined with a café, where the animals are seen up close rather than through glass. The herd numbers around a hundred head and is unusually varied.
Besides alpacas there are goats, sheep and French donkeys, as well as Bactrian camels and a zebra — a line-up rarely found on such a small holding. The paddocks are arranged around the central yard, so walking the whole site takes several dozen minutes. Some animals may be fed and stroked under staff supervision.
The place is aimed at families with pre-school and early school-age children. Sessions involving direct contact with the animals are run by teachers and trainers, and a separate party room hosts birthdays and family occasions. Dogs are allowed and the grounds remain passable with a pushchair.
