Mini Zoo in Wojciechów covers four hectares in a village some 26 kilometres from Lublin, 8 from Nałęczów and 25 from Kazimierz Dolny. That position makes it an easy addition to a tour of the Lublin region, particularly when travelling with children.
Despite the name the collection is broad: lions, pumas, antelopes, kangaroos, monkeys, llamas and alpacas, alongside raccoons, ponies, Highland cattle, rabbits and many species of water and land birds. The enclosures follow a walking loop, so covering the whole site takes roughly an hour.
The zoo puts weight on education, running workshops, feeding demonstrations and teaching games in which children learn how animals are cared for. There is a playground and a food outlet on site, and the paths are surfaced and passable with a pushchair. The visit is largely outdoors.
