Mostki, Wieś Lubrza
Mini ZOO Port 2000 lies in Mostki in the Lubrza municipality, within a large service complex next to a filling station and a truck park. Admission is free and a visit takes a few dozen minutes, so the place works well as a stop on a journey across western Poland. The grounds are laid out like a park, with paths, a little bridge over the water and wooden decks.
The collection is surprisingly varied for a roadside site. The pens hold goats, donkeys, ponies and horses as well as ornamental fowl. Alongside them live fallow deer, llamas, zebras and meerkats, which keep children at the fence the longest. Large models of dinosaurs, crocodiles and a gorilla are set out along the walking path.
This is above all a stop for families with younger children — the route is short, flat and passable with a pushchair. Food outlets operate beside the enclosures, and the pond with thatched shelters gives shade on hot days. All around stretches the Łagów Lake District, with forests and lakes worth a longer break.
