Wieś Mstów
Skała Miłości is a massive limestone outcrop rising on its own above the Warta valley in Mstów near Częstochowa. It is regarded as the northernmost outlier of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland and is therefore sometimes called its natural gateway. The white, fissured mass of rock contrasts sharply with the greenery of the riverside park at its foot.
The name comes from a tale about a spring at the base of the rock that was believed to heal. A mother sent her daughter for the water, and when the girl failed to return she went looking and found her in the arms of her beloved. In anger she cursed the pair, turning them both to stone — hence the Rock of Love.
A recreation area has been laid out around the outcrop: walking paths, benches, shelters, information boards and a campfire site. From the top there is a view over the bend of the Warta and the buildings of Mstów, with the baroque monastery complex of the Canons Regular. The rock stands in the riverside park, opposite road no. 786.
