Wieś Morsko
Okiennik Wielki, also called Okiennik Duży, is a limestone tor in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, near Morsko and Piaseczno. Its trademark is a through opening measuring roughly 7 by 5 metres — what remains of a collapsed karst cave. The rock wall reaches about 30 metres and is visible from afar above the treetops.
This is one of the most popular climbing spots in the Jura. Close to a hundred routes of widely varying difficulty have been put up here, from easy to demanding on the Kurtyka scale, so beginners on courses and experienced climbers alike gather beneath the rock. Visitors without gear walk up the path to the tor and view the window from below and from the adjoining saddle.
Waymarked trails lead to Okiennik: the red Trail of the Eagles' Nests and the yellow Skarżyce Trail from the railway station in Zawiercie. The approach is short, but the final section crosses limestone slabs that can be slippery after rain. Other Jurassic tors and the castle ruins in Morsko lie nearby.
