Wieś Ług
The Sine Wiry nature reserve protects more than 440 hectares of the Wetlina and Solinka valleys, on the border of the Cisna, Solina and Czarna communes. It was established in 1987, within the Ciśniańsko-Wetliński Landscape Park. The nearest settlement is Ług in the Lesko district.
The protected stretch of the river is about seven kilometres long and forms meanders, deep whirlpools and rocky steps exposing layers of Carpathian flysch. Beech woods and riverside alders grow in the valley, and the reserve's flora numbers around 350 plant species. A separate highlight is the vanishing Emerald Lake, created by a landslide below Połoma.
The trail runs along the valley floor and repeatedly approaches the water, so after heavy rain the passage can be difficult. There are no tourist facilities or food outlets along the route. This is a destination for those who value silence, wild landscape and wildlife watching.
