Wieś Kusięta
Góry Towarne is a twin-summit limestone hill near the village of Kusięta in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. It splits into Towarne Duże and Towarne Małe, separated by a shallow saddle. Both summits are protected as an ecological site and included in the Natura 2000 habitat area Ostoja Olsztyńsko-Mirowska.
The massif holds caves and rock shelters regularly explored by cavers; in two of them bones of the cave bear and traces of prehistoric people were found. The rocks also serve climbers, with routes on the Grota and Płyta in Towarne Duże and on Bałwanek, Kogutek and Przekładaniec in Towarne Małe.
The open summit sections give a panorama over nearby villages, forests and the chain of Jurassic tors. The approach from Kusięta is short but steep and stony in places, so footwear with good grip is useful.
