Wodospad Pośny lies within Stołowe Mountains National Park, about 1.2 km north-east of Szczeliniec Wielki, at an altitude of nearly 550 m. It is not a single drop but a cascade of several smaller falls set along a stream running down a steep, wooded gully. It looks most impressive in spring after the thaw and following heavy rain, when the water volume is greatest.
The surroundings of the waterfall are under strict protection over an area of just under 4 hectares. Fertile Sudeten beech forest grows here, with impressive beeches, wych elms, sycamores and firs standing out among the stand. The damp, shaded ravine favours mosses and ferns, giving the place a natural, primeval character.
The yellow trail from Radków via Pasterka to Szczeliniec Wielki leads to the waterfall. The trip is easiest to combine with climbing Szczeliniec. The path can be slippery and steep, so trekking shoes are advisable.
