Wieś Strużnica
Starościńskie Skały is a rock group in the Western Sudetes, in the Rudawy Janowickie range, within the Rudawy Landscape Park. The summit reaches around 718 m above sea level and the individual towers rise more than 20 metres. The rocks are built of Karkonosze granite cut by pale aplite veins.
Erosion and denudation have carved a genuine labyrinth here: rock windows, ledges, crevices, pillars and pinnacles, with weathering pits collecting rainwater on the flatter surfaces. More ambitious visitors will find climbing routes, everyone else narrow passages between the blocks. The rocks are surrounded by a lower montane spruce forest with a small admixture of broadleaved trees.
A viewing platform facing north has been built on the summit. It offers a panorama of the Karkonosze, the Izera Mountains, the Kaczawskie Mountains and the Rudawy Janowickie themselves. The blue trail, part of the European E3 long-distance path, leads here from Trzcińsko.
