Źródło Karola is located in Ustroń, at the end of the spring trail, deep in the forest and a fair distance from the centre of the spa town. The spot is intimate and quiet: the water emerges in the shade of the trees and benches have been placed alongside, where you can rest. It is one of the walking destinations regularly chosen by spa guests and local residents.
In the 19th century the water was used to treat people and animals, and local tradition credits it with healing powers. A commemorative plaque above the spring is dedicated to Karol Hoheisel, who rebuilt the intake after the First World War. The present name comes from him.
A forest path leads to the spring, a walk of about fifteen minutes from the last buildings. The route is gentle, but the surface is natural, so it can be muddy after rain. It is worth combining the visit with a walk through the valley.
