Wisła
Kaskady Rodła is a series of about 25 natural waterfalls and rock steps on the Biała Wisełka stream in Wisła, Cieszyn County. The individual steps range from half a metre to five metres in height, and the two largest measure 3.5 and 5 metres, making them the highest waterfalls in the Silesian Beskids.
The cascades lie in a deep, forested valley within a protected part of the Silesian Beskids. The slopes are covered with monumental spruces and firs, some almost 170 years old. Over the years the water has carved potholes and chutes into the rocky bed, and the damp microclimate favours mosses and ferns.
A comfortable road runs along the valley floor past one step after another, so the route also suits families with children. Above the highest waterfall the trail turns into a mountain path towards Barania Góra and the source of the Vistula. Walking the whole valley and back takes several hours.
