Tolkmicko
Święty Kamień Prusów rests in the Vistula Lagoon about 4 km from Tolkmicko, a few dozen metres offshore. It measures roughly 13.8 m in circumference and 2.2 m in height, and was carried here by the Scandinavian ice sheet during the last glaciation. Today it is protected as a natural monument.
Before the Christianisation of the region the boulder was a cult site of the Old Prussians, who offered fish on it to a deity of fertility and harvest. A small sacrificial bowl on its north-western side survives from that custom. The stone remains one of the best known traces of the old beliefs in this area.
The easiest approach is on foot along the lagoon railway line from Tolkmicko, about 4.5 km along the shore. The water by the boulder usually reaches thigh height, so at low water levels it can be approached straight from the beach. The route follows a scenic stretch of the Elbląg Upland coast.
