A spring in the Sąspówka Valley

The spring in Sąspów lies in the Jerzmanowice-Przeginia commune, in the Sąspówka Valley within Ojców National Park, in the southern part of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. Water emerges here from limestone rubble and weathered debris and then feeds the Sąspówka stream — one of the park's two main watercourses.

A stop by the spring

The site is prepared for visitors: shelters with benches have been set up by the outflow, so it is easy to take a short break while walking the valley. The Sąspówka Valley itself is far quieter than the neighbouring Prądnik Valley — less traffic and more silence, and the path along the valley floor is gentle and comfortable.

Good to know

National park rules apply: keep to the marked trails and roads, no camping and no open fires. A visit to the spring itself takes about a quarter of an hour, so it is worth combining with a walk towards Ojców or the village of Sąspów.
