Góra, Wieś Szklary
Dolina Szklarki is a ravine in the Dolinki Krakowskie Landscape Park on the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, about 30 km from Cracow. It stretches for nearly 9 km from the village of Szklary to Dubie, with the Szklarka stream running along the bottom. Limestone walls and rock towers rise on both sides — one of the most scenic parts of the upland.
A red trail runs through the valley along the western and eastern slopes and takes about two hours to complete. The paths are steep in places, with ascents and descents, so the route is not suitable for pushchairs or for people with limited mobility. Footwear with good grip is useful.
The approach follows national road 94 towards Jerzmanowice. There is no dedicated car park at the valley — cars are left in the village, for example near the church. It is worth combining the visit with the neighbouring valleys of Będkowska, Bolechowicka and Kobylańska, and with the limestone rocks popular among climbers.
