A pass in the Żywiec Beskids

Przegibek is a broad, grassy pass in the Wielka Racza group of the Żywiec Beskids, administratively part of the village of Rycerka Górna in Rajcza commune. It separates Bendoszka Wielka from Bania, and its saddle lies close to the Polish-Slovak border. It is one of the main trail junctions in this part of the range.

Trails and access

Several routes lead up: the green trail from Rycerka Kolonia and from Młada Hora, the blue trail from Sola via Bendoszka Wielka, the red trail from Rycerzowa and the red border ridge trail from Wielka Racza. Shorter approaches take about an hour and a half, longer ridge variants up to three hours one way.

On site

The PTTK mountain hut on Przegibek stands on the pass, offering rest and overnight accommodation. The open meadows give views of the surrounding ridges, and the protected serrated bellflower, rare in the Polish mountains, grows in the undergrowth.
