Wieś Jaroszowiec
Pazurek is a forest and inanimate nature reserve near the village of Jaroszowiec in Olkusz commune, in the heart of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. It forms part of the Eagles' Nests Landscape Park and of a Natura 2000 site. It protects beech woods growing on limestone hills together with a group of rocks and outcrops typical of the Jurassic landscape.
The best known feature of the reserve are the Zubowe Skały rocks, open to climbers only on designated routes and under rules set by the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection. Around three hundred plant species grow in this small area, several dozen of them protected, including mountain species that are rare at this altitude.
The green Januszkowa Góra trail runs through the reserve towards Jaroszowiec, along with an educational path with twelve stops described on boards. Walking it at an easy pace takes about an hour and a half; the paths are forest tracks, steep in places.
