Wieś Aleksandrowice
Dolina Aleksandrowicka lies on the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, by the village of Aleksandrowice west of Kraków. It belongs to the group known as the Kraków Valleys – limestone hollows with rock tors and dry grasslands. The route through the valley is about three kilometres long and, despite the nearby A4 motorway, the place stays quiet.
A loop of roughly 2.5 kilometres starts by the sports field in Aleksandrowice and passes the most interesting rock formations. It ends at the Krzywy Sąd tor, which offers a view of the surroundings, Kraków-Balice airport and the hill with the monastery in Bielany.
The valley works as a short family walk along a flat bottom, but it also draws climbers – the routes on the Głowa Słonia tor are demanding and call for experience and your own gear. Access is free of charge.
