A pass between the Pieniny and the Beskid Sądecki

Przełęcz Rozdziela lies at about 800 metres above sea level, near the Polish-Slovak border above the village of Jaworki. As its name suggests, it separates two mountain groups — the Pieniny and the Beskid Sądecki. From the broad summit meadows a panorama opens over the Pieniny peaks, the ranges of the Beskid Sądecki and, in good visibility, the Tatras.

The climb from Jaworki

The yellow trail to the pass starts in Jaworki by the minibus stop, above the mouth of the Homole gorge. The first stretch follows asphalt, then turns into the valley of the Biała Woda stream and runs along its bed for a long while, between the rock pinnacles of the reserve. The final part climbs steeply through meadows to the ridge. The one-way walk takes about 1 hour 40 minutes.

Good to know

The yellow and blue trails cross at the pass; the blue one runs from Szczawnica to Wielki Rogacz, which makes a loop easy to plan. The upper section is physically demanding and the route is not suitable for pushchairs.
