Palenica Białczańska, Wieś Małe Ciche
Rusinowa Polana lies on the ridge linking the Tatras with the Bukowina Foothills, within Tatra National Park above the village of Małe Ciche. It is one of the gentlest and most scenic clearings in the Polish Tatras — no steep climbing, but a wide panorama of the peaks above the Białka Valley.
Two trails lead to the meadow: the green one from Wierch Poroniec and the blue one from Palenica Białczańska by the Oswald Balzer road. The green variant is shorter and prettier — about 3.2 km covered in an hour, with a slightly quicker return. The route is easy, running through forest and open stretches, so families with children choose it readily.
The meadow has been grazed for centuries and traditional sheep pasturing still takes place here. Nearby stands the wooden chapel at Wiktorówki — the sanctuary of Our Lady of Jaworzyna, a frequent walking destination. National park rules apply: stay on the trails and no dogs allowed.
