A snack bar on the Czantoria ridge

Schronisko na Czantorii, in Czech Chata Čantoryj, stands in the Silesian Beskids, in the western part of the Czantoria Wielka range, on the Czech side and right by the state border. It once served walkers as a mountain hostel; today it works mainly as a snack bar, and efforts are under way to reopen the accommodation.

How to get there

Several routes lead up from the Polish side: the blue trail from Ustroń Zdrój station, the red one from Ustroń Polana to Wielka Czantoria and then the black trail, the black trail from Goleszów, or the red one to the Przełęcz pod Czantorią pass. From Wisła Jawornik the black trail runs to Przełęcz Beskidek, while the blue trail arrives from the Czech side.

Good to know

The Czantoria ridge is one of the most visited parts of the Silesian Beskids, with views over the Polish-Czech borderland and the neighbouring ranges. The climb from Ustroń takes a few hours, so it is worth setting aside half a day for the whole trip.
