Wieś Cisna
Bacówka pod Honem stands above Cisna in the Bieszczady Mountains, in the Subcarpathian region, right on the red Main Beskid Trail. The wooden building was put up in 1986, when the area was starting to attract more and more visitors, and it still fits neatly into the landscape of wooded ridges.
It makes a convenient base: there is food, drink, toilets, beds and a campsite, and in winter a ski lift operates nearby. The surroundings open onto a wide panorama of the neighbouring hills, which is why many walkers stop here even without planning to stay overnight.
The red trail runs on through Hon, Wołosań and Chryszczata all the way to Komańcza. A longer outing brings the Border Range and the Łopiennik massif within reach, while nearby Roztoki and Balnica make it easy to plan a walk or bike ride towards Slovakia.
