Wieś Wilkowice
Chatka na Rogaczu is a privately run mountain hut in the Beskid Mały, on the Skleniec clearing at the foot of Rogacz peak, within the commune of Wilkowice in the Silesian Voivodeship. It once worked as a student hut, which is still felt in its relaxed, hiking atmosphere.
Hikers stop here for hot coffee or tea, use the bathroom and the viewing terrace, and can stay overnight or pitch a tent on the adjoining campsite. Arranging a campfire is sometimes possible as well. From the terrace you look out over the Beskid Śląski with the distinctive Skrzyczne.
The shortest approach follows the red trail from the railway station in Mikuszowice; the yellow so-called hut trail is an alternative. The hut serves as a base for longer routes through the Beskid Mały and the Beskid Śląski, and a small shop with basic supplies operates nearby.
