Świeradów-Zdrój
Chatka Górzystów stands on Hala Izerska, in the heart of the Izera Mountains, far from public roads and settlements. The nearest base is Świeradów-Zdrój. The hut operates all year and is known for its deliberately spartan, unchanged conditions.
There is no electrical installation here — heat comes from a stove that guests tend themselves, and washing is done in the nearby stream. This rough character attracts walkers looking for the mountains as they were in the early twentieth century, and there is never a shortage of volunteers to keep the fire going.
Visitors rest in the fireplace room, use the simple food service or picnic on the meadow around the building. Overnight stays require booking in advance. Trails leading here include the red one from Jakuszyce, the yellow one from Rozdroże pod Kopą and the blue one from Świeradów-Zdrój via Polana Izerska.
