Szczawnica
The PTTK Bacówka hut below Bereśnik, also known as the hut under Bereśnik, stands beneath the Bereśnik summit in the Radziejowa range of the Sądecki Beskids. It is a small, intimate building of the bacówka type, a few kilometres from Szczawnica.
The clearing by the hut opens up a broad panorama: the Pieniny, the Dunajec valley and Szczawnica, and in good visibility the Tatra ridges as well. It counts among the best-rated viewpoints in the whole range.
Most walkers choose the yellow trail from Szczawnica, which takes about an hour and a quarter, and the walk can be continued on to Dzwonkówka. The hut runs a kitchen and takes guests for the night by prior booking, and also allows a tent to be pitched on the clearing.
