A hut on the border of two Beskids

The PTTK mountain hut on Hala Krupowa lies in the Babia Góra range, where the Żywiec Beskids meet the Maków Beskids, between Zawoja, Jordanów and Zubrzyca. It is a small, two-storey building in highland style, set on a broad meadow with a view of the Babia Góra massif and its Diablak summit.

What awaits on site

Inside there is a buffet serving hot dishes, snacks and drinks; maps, books and regional souvenirs are also on sale. Two commemorative plaques hang on the walls: one honours the Home Army partisan unit „Huta-Podgórze”, the other marks the visit of Karol Wojtyła, who stopped here in 1978.

Trails to the hut

Several routes lead up to the meadow. The red Main Beskid Trail from Polica takes about 25 minutes, the yellow trail from Juszczyna roughly an hour and a quarter. The descents take half an hour and an hour respectively.
