Wieś Jaworzec
The PTTK Jaworzec hut stands in the Bieszczady, in the Wetlinka valley, at the foot of Bukowina, Siwarna, Krysowa and Kiczera. The village of Jaworzec, within whose boundaries it once lay, ceased to exist after the Second World War — only traces of it remain in the landscape.
Walking around the area you can find the site of an Orthodox church, an old cemetery and a cross commemorating the abolition of serfdom. It is one of those places in the Bieszczady where the landscape itself tells the story of depopulated valleys.
There is a buffet, toilets, beds and a fireplace, and a small clearing in front of the building invites a rest. The hut has no electricity, so a torch and a power bank are essential. A wooden playground with a slide and a swing awaits the youngest guests.
