Zalesie, Pruchnik
Wąwóz Lelos in Zalesie near Pruchnik is a loess gorge with an educational nature trail about four kilometres long running along it. The route passes through forests and fields of the foothills with gentle ridges, although in places it climbs quite steeply. The start and finish point is the shelter on Leśna Street, south of the market square.
The main feature of the route is a wooden observation tower sixteen metres high. From the platform you can see the Jarosław district and, in good weather, also the hills of the Beskid Niski. Along the way you pass the Tatar column – a rare structure once used to light fires warning local people of an approaching enemy.
The trail can be covered on foot, by bike or on horseback, and the distance is within reach of families with children. By car you can reach a car park a few hundred metres from the shelter. Several agritourism farms operate nearby, where you can rest after the walk.
