A loop around the spa town

Perła Polańczyka is a yellow-marked walking trail that circles Polańczyk, a spa resort on Lake Solińskie in the Bieszczady Mountains. The route takes about an hour and a half and is rated easy, so walkers of average fitness will manage it without trouble.

Along the way

The path runs through fields, meadows and beech and pine woods, repeatedly emerging onto open hillsides. On the way you pass two viewing terraces, Kabajka and Horb. They open up a panorama of Polańczyk, Solina and the mountains ringing the reservoir, and in clear weather also of Połonina Caryńska and Połonina Wetlińska.

Who it suits

This is a suggestion for a quiet afternoon, for families with children and for anyone after views without the effort of a high mountain hike. The loop can be walked in either direction and cut short halfway, returning to the centre of the resort. Dogs are welcome on a lead.
