A farm of forgotten crafts

Szlak Ginących Zawodów in Kudowa-Zdrój is a private farmstead run by the Gorczyński family and arranged as a living open-air museum of old trades. It all began with an old windmill that the owner moved onto his own plot; over time further cottages and workshops were added beside it. The site lies about two hundred metres from the Chapel of Skulls.

What you will see

The tour leads through a handicraft cottage with exhibits used in crochet and knitting, a blacksmith's cottage, a room of folk costumes and pottery and weaving stations. Yarn spinning and bread baking are demonstrated, and the bread can be tasted straight from the oven. Among the household items you will find the iconic Frania washing machine.

For families

A sizeable mini zoo operates on the grounds, which makes the place a successful stop with children. Part of the exhibition is under a roof, so rain does not ruin the visit. The owners also rent out a banqueting hall for celebrations.
