ul. Rybacka, Gniew
Gondola cruises in Gniew set off from the landing stage on Rybacka Street, at the foot of the castle hill. The town lies on a high escarpment above the Vistula in the Tczew district, near the mouth of the Wierzyca. The short trip lets you see Gniew and its landmark – the Teutonic castle – from the perspective of the river.
From on board you get a clear view of the steep Vistula escarpment, the walls of the castle built by the Teutonic Order, and the riverside meadows and thickets where birds are easy to spot. The Vistula is wide here and natural enough to keep its sandy bars. The cruise lasts about forty minutes.
Cruises run in season, depending on the weather and the water level. After returning ashore it is worth walking up to the old town and the castle, where historical shows and re-enactments are held.
