Wieś Miedzianka
The Miedzianka – Mniszków historical trail runs through the Rudawy Landscape Park at the foot of the Rudawy Janowickie mountains. It is about six kilometres long and forms a double loop, so the walk can begin either in Miedzianka or in Mniszków and return to the starting point, or be split into two stages.
Information boards and lecterns along the path deal with mining, the former villages of Miedzianka and Mniszków, the local brewery, the church and the manor. Miedzianka is a special place: after the ground subsided above the workings, most of the buildings were pulled down and mainly empty plots and ruins remain of the little town.
The trail is free and undemanding, and can be covered on foot or by bike. An interesting variant is to start from Janowice Wielkie, reachable by train and bus; following the yellow trail extends the whole route to about nine kilometres.
