A fairy-tale stop in Puńsk

Wioska Dwóch Mistrzów is the fourth stop on the Fairy-Tale Trail of the Suwałki region – a chain of seven themed villages, each telling a different story linked to the culture and nature of the area. This one was created in Puńsk, a town largely inhabited by the Lithuanian minority. The two masters of the title are Koszałek-Opałek and Sarabanda the cricket, guardians of the land of dwarfs.

Play and learning

The space was designed with children in mind. The maze of languages sets them tasks whose solution leads to a clearing where legends are told in Lithuanian, Belarusian and Polish, revealing the similarities between these languages. The “Abecadło” playground is made up of equipment shaped like letters, and in the Avenue of Words the Tree of Languages gathers vocabulary of different origins.

Who it suits

This is a place for families with pre-school and early school-age children; a visit usually takes half an hour. For adults it is a pretext to explore the multicultural Suwałki region, and Puńsk itself, with its wooden buildings and Lithuanian signs, is an interesting stop on any journey.
