Parkowe-Leśniczówka, Wieś Złoty Potok
Grota Niedźwiedzia is a small cave in the limestone rocks above the Wiercica valley, near Złoty Potok in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. It lies within the Parkowe nature reserve, close to the forester's lodge and beside one of the most popular walking routes in the area.
The Wiercica valley is one of the most picturesque parts of the upland: springs welling up from under the rocks, ponds, beech woods and limestone outcrops rising above the forest. In Złoty Potok itself it is worth visiting the Raczyński palace and the nearby rock formations, clearly visible from the paths.
The grotto is small and undeveloped — there is no lighting and no marked route inside, so a torch and care on the damp, slippery rock are needed. It is best combined with a walk through the reserve, for which you should allow at least an hour.
