Adama i Ewy, Wieś Majdy
Jezioro Wulpińskie, also called Tomaszkowskie or Dorotowskie after the nearby villages, lies in the Olsztyn Lake District a few kilometres south-west of Olsztyn. The lake is split into two parts joined by a narrow strait once known as the „neck”. The eastern shore is flat and gentle, while the western one drops in steep slopes.
The greatest asset is the eastern part of the lake with its islands and islets, which create a picturesque, mosaic-like landscape. The water is clean and a quiet zone covers the whole lake, so no motorboat engines are heard here. Waterfowl can be spotted along the shores and small wild coves invite a stop.
The lake is ringed by the villages of Tomaszkowo, Dorotowo, Majdy and Kęsk, all clearly recreational in character. The bathing spots are unguarded and dogs are not allowed on the beaches. The waters are managed by the „Bartołty Wielkie” fishery.
