Jezioro Przeczyckie, also known as the Przeczyce-Siewierz reservoir, lies south-west of Siewierz on the western fringe of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. It is an artificial body of water created by damming the Czarna Przemsza river — meant to protect the area from flooding and to supply the Łagisza power plant, it quickly became a recreational base for the conurbation.
Holiday centres and camping cabins stretch along the shores, and the beaches are either grassy or sandy. There are rentals of water and motor-water equipment, and the lake is popular with sailors. The developed shoreline with its coves and peninsulas leaves plenty of room to settle away from the crowd.
The reservoir counts among the better fishing grounds in the region. Zander, pike, bream, perch, carp, crucian carp, roach and weatherfish are found here.
