A reservoir in the heart of Knyszyn Forest

Czapielówka is a reservoir on the edge of Czarna Białostocka, surrounded by the woods of the Knyszyn Forest. It was built in stages over many years and today is the main recreation spot for residents of the Białystok area. The water is clean and the bottom at the bathing area is sandy rather than muddy.

Active by the water

In summer a rental point offers kayaks and pedal boats, and the section of the bathing area marked off by a pier is supervised by lifeguards. Several entries lead into the water. A well-marked walking and cycling path runs around the reservoir, allowing a full loop. Places for tents and campfires have also been designated.

For anglers, all year round

The reservoir is a well-known fishing spot, with pike, zander, carp, crucian carp and perch. Outside the bathing season the place loses none of its charm: in winter you can walk calmly around the shores, and the nearby forest makes the route attractive all year.
