A reservoir near Pszczyna

Łąka Lake is a dam reservoir on the Pszczynka river, west of the old town of Pszczyna, by the village of Łąka. The lake and its shore facilities are managed by the Municipal Recreation and Sports Centre in Pszczyna, which runs the water sports centre here. It is one of the more popular leisure spots in Upper Silesia.

Water sports

Sailing and windsurfing are practised on the lake, kayaks, boats and pedal boats are available, and there is a marina with charter options. A supervised bathing area operates in the summer season. Wind conditions suit learning to sail a board, so beginners are frequent guests here.

Beyond the water

Next to the bathing area there are football and beach volleyball pitches as well as designated spots for barbecues and campfires. The shores are good for a walk, and after a rest it is worth visiting Pszczyna with its Hochberg castle, open-air museum and bison show enclosure.
