A reservoir in the Sandomierz Forest

Jezioro Maziarnia is an artificial reservoir in the village of Wilcza Wola, Dzikowiec commune, Kolbuszowa county in the Podkarpackie region. It was created relatively recently in the heart of the former Sandomierz Forest and was originally meant to serve retention purposes — today it is one of the more important recreational spots in this part of the region.

Water sports

The lake is used by sailors, windsurfers and swimmers, and in winter, when the ice allows, by ice-boaters as well. The broad water surface and open surroundings provide good wind conditions. The reservoir is also valued by anglers.

On shore

Shelters, fire pits and scenic-educational trails have been laid out around the lake and are readily visited by school groups. In the nearby manor complex grow natural monuments: a large-leaved lime and two pedunculate oaks.
