Prabuty
Jezioro Dzierzgoń spreads out in the Iława Lakeland in Pomeranian Voivodeship, a few kilometres from Prabuty. It is partly covered by a protected landscape area adjoining the Jezioro Liwieniec nature reserve. The lake works as a natural retention basin and stores surplus water in autumn and winter.
A kayak route linked to the Liwa river trail crosses the lake, so the water is often a stage of a longer trip rather than a destination in itself. Open space and steady wind make it one of the few places in this part of the country suited to windsurfing. Boats — kayaks and pedal boats — can be hired in Julianowo.
Julianowo has a supervised bathing area with a beach, picnic and campfire spots, a volleyball court and a playground, which makes the shore a convenient place for a longer stop with children. Prabuty lies about 3 km away, with its centre of culture and sport. The surrounding forests and neighbouring lakes invite cycling trips.
