Lake Gosławskie, covering about 380 ha, lies in Konin in the Greater Poland Voivodeship. It borders the Pątnów power plant to the north, the Bieniszew Forest to the west and, to the south-east, the bishops' castle in Gosławice that now houses a museum. The landscape thus combines an industrial backdrop with extensive woodland.
Water from the lake is used to cool the power plant and returns warmed, so the reservoir is noticeably warmer than neighbouring ones and does not freeze in winter. This extends the swimming season and allows angling all year; the fish here grow to impressive sizes.
Gosławskie connects with lakes Pątnowskie and Licheńskie, forming an attractive route for sailors and canoeists. There is a supervised bathing area at the “Przystań Gosławice” marina, and accommodation includes holiday centres, hotels and private rooms.
