Wieś Sulęczyno
Jezioro Węgorzyno lies in the Kashubian Lake District, next to Sulęczyno and Bukowa Góra, in the Kartuzy county. It has the elongated, trough-like shape typical of this part of Pomerania, and its shores are covered by forests that in places come right down to the water.
A beach with a bathing area and a water equipment rental point has been arranged by the lake. The Słupia river flows through it, carrying one of the more popular Kashubian canoe trails, which also takes in the Tuchlińskie, Trzebocińskie and Gowidlińskie lakes. Sheltered, steady wind conditions make the lake good for learning to sail.
A walking and cycling loop of more than a dozen kilometres, named "Along Lake Węgorzyno", runs along the shores, following the promenade, passing the municipal bathing area and using a stretch of old cobbled road. Anglers catch pike, zander, perch, roach and tench here.
