ul. Wczasowa, Blachownia
Jezioro Blachownia is a retention reservoir of about 56 hectares, dammed on the Stradomka river in Blachownia, some fifteen kilometres west of Częstochowa. For the city's residents it is the nearest large recreational body of water, hence the playful nickname of the Saint Tropez of Częstochowa.
The shores are laid out for recreation. There is a swimming area with a beach, jetties and boat rental points, while a walking and cycling path runs around the reservoir, convenient for a quiet loop. An amphitheatre by the beach hosts summer concerts and open-air events. The water also attracts anglers.
The reservoir lies within the Lasy nad Górną Liswartą Landscape Park, and a trail nearby links the Zamczysko, Dębowa Góra, Modrzewiowa Góra and Mokry Las nature reserves. To the east stretches the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland with Jasna Góra and the Eagles' Nests castles, so a lakeside stop combines easily with sightseeing.
